Blended Christianity

Within His Church, God is removing barriers and blending together three streams of Christian expression — evangelical, charismatic, and liturgical/sacramental — into one mighty river of rich tradition. This is the commitment of the ICCEC in our faith and worship. By celebrating the best of the Church in history and combining that with the Holy Spirit's present-day renewing and regathering work, we seek to share the good news of Jesus Christ and to glorify God in the world today.

Evangelical expression brings an emphasis of a personal commitment to, and relationship with, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, a high view of the Holy Scriptures, and a strong belief in biblical study.

Charismatic expression brings spontaneity and exuberance to the worship of God breathing in new life and spiritual empowerment through the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Liturgical/Sacramental worship and tradition brings a balance and depth rooted in the New Testament Church with a high view of the Church (with its Historic Episcopate) and of the Sacraments which provide a solid spiritual base from which the people of God can minister to the hurting world in a very real manifestation of the grace of God.
