Second Baptist Church is a fellowship of believers committed to the Lord Jesus Christ and to the proclaimation of the infallible, inerrant Word. We believe that every believer has the responsiblilty and commission from God to be the "salt" and "light" in their own community. We are actively involved in the spreading of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, and involving ourselves in society in order to change our world. We believe that the myth of separation of church and state is a masterful deception planted by Satan, the great deceiver, in order to paralyze the Christian community and its effect on the world. We acknowledge that this nation was founded by Christian men and women, and is indeed a republic with the original intent being established for the glory of God and to freely promote the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
